Diploma of Remedial Massage
Seeing the benefit that massage has on a person is what motivated Andrew to become a Remedial Massage Therapist. ‘The ability to go to work and help improve a persons’ quality of life through positive touch is something special.’ Andrew says. ‘Seeing the improvement in my patients physical and mental wellbeing is my reward. Whether it’s to assist them to recover from an injury, address chronic pain, or deal with stress, massage may make a difference’.
Andrew has ten years of massage experience, gaining his initial qualification in relaxation massage in 2008. Since then he completed his diploma of remedial massage through Evolve College.
When you first come to see Andrew he will complete a full history and perform some muscle testing before beginning his hands on treatment. You can be confident that he’ll listen to you, treat you with respect and your needs will always remain his priority. Andrew loves being able to treat people from all walks of life, presenting with many and varied conditions. He has particular interests in sports injuries, stress, chronic pain, post-op rehab as well as conditions associated with the elderly and pregnant patients.
When Andrew is not looking after his patients (and his two young children!) he focuses on looking after himself. This includes a daily routine of jogging, regular yoga, family time and rest.
Something you won’t know about Andrew is that he’s a bass guitarist and has been playing live for more than 20 years! He’s also a (long suffering) member of the Essendon footy club.
Andrew is available Mondays and Thursday and he looks forward to meeting you at your next appointment.
