Angus McQuie Osteo

Angus McQuie

Osteopath

Growing up, Angus played a lot of sports, particularly football and basketball.  With sport, came injuries and he found manual therapy did wonders in aiding his return.  Ultimately, this experience motivated him to become an osteopath.

Today, Angus is passionate about working with sports people (novice to professional) and assisting them to return to their chosen court or field. He has experience in treating a wide range of sports and athletic injuries with a special interest in football and basketball. Injuries he sees include, but are not limited to, hip, back, and shoulder pain. Basketball also brings jumping injuries – specifically ankles and knees.

In addition to sports injuries, Angus’ special area of interest is back pain. Having worked in the CBD student clinic for two years he saw plenty of office workers with back pain, postural pain, and neck stiffness. Angus has worked with lower and upper back pain; pelvic pain and disc injuries. He has also worked with acute to chronic pain patients.

A treatment with Angus may include:

  • Immediate hands-on treatment
  • Medium to long-term pain management plans
  • Tools and knowledge to assist with your rehab and strength training journey after your hands-on treatment
  • Reviewing your whole lifestyle to assist with the management and prevention of future pain

Angus completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Osteopathy), Masters in Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University.

Outside of the clinic, unsurprisingly you’ll find Angus on the footy field or basketball court or down at the beach.

Angus is available for osteo or clinical exercise appointments five days a week including Saturday. You can book online or call 9830 7044.
