Georgia Macdonald

Georgia graduated with a double bachelor degree with distinction from RMIT in 2017. She has since extended her studies in clinical Pilates with DMA and Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute (APPI).

Georgia has a strong interest in the human body and how it works

After seeking her own osteopathic treatment she became fascinated by the osteopathic approach and the founding tenant ‘the body is a unit’.

A life-long learner (and nerd), Georgia is happy to discuss the human body and all its eccentricities with you. She has a strong interest in pain science and she may assist you to better understand your pain and how to manage or reduce it. Your appointment with Georgia is likely to include a hands-on treatment; exercise prescription; and an explanation into how your brain is vital in understanding and managing persistent and chronic pain.

Georgia treats a wide variety of patients for everyday muscle and joint pain and she has a passion for treating dancers. Having trained in ballet she understands the demands dance may have on your body. She has completed further study in injury prevention and performance enhancement with physiotherapist and dance educator Lisa Howell (founder of the Ballet Blog). This study has given her additional skills to offer pre-pointe assessment so if you or your daughter are considering pointe, ask Georgia if she can assist.

Georgia’s further education in clinical Pilates assists her to use exercise prescription in her treatments and dance conditioning.

Outside the clinic, you may find Georgia baking, walking her dog, reading and attending adult ballet classes. She would be delighted to talk your ear off about her dog Whisky if prompted
